The beginning riff of this song is just so special! I love the way it keeps going throughout the verse and then changed keys yet it's still the same riff. Thanks to it, the whole song continues to pump its way up, up and up until it reaches peak when Koshi lets out a super-scream. But heiii, the ride ain't over yet, the chorus again takes you even higher and higher up the rail! Yes, it's entirely possible, really! |
| Change The Future
This song in particular grabbed me from the first time I heard it. The intro just oozes out dark cold atmosphere while the bridge after Koshi's sharp "Oh!" gives a nice waiting-time before Tak comes in with a beautiful yet still icy solo. And then there's that hair-rising scream, "Saaaaaa~!!!" Everything comes back in again in a murky colour coldness, brrr! |
Akai Kawa There's an other-worldly feeling to this song. The long orchestra at the beginning makes me imagine planets swirling around in the universe, just like mentioned in the lyrics. A fantastic piece. |

One thing that makes B'z songs so complex are the stuffs they cram into
a song. Here the background voice that comes from the left speaker are
specially interesting! |
Bad Communication 000-18 Style No word can describe my feeling when I recently heard this vers. of Bad for the first time. It's shockingly and fantasticly different from the previous ones! Definitely not an easy job, considering that older versions are darn good too. The new music, harmonized chorus and singing style make this one to be the best remake yet! |
| Koi Gokoro
B'z certainly went all the way to create a cutesy atmosphere for this song. A fan noticed that backing vocals sing "A B C D E F..." and then "Ma-chan, Ma-chan, help me, help me" ^^;; That cheeky Koshi! They also do a good job with "Woo!" and "Sensei!" |
Baby Moon To B'z, mini-albums are chances to explore other musical style. They certainly did with this song and in fact, the whole Friends II album. Baby Moon, SNOW, Kimi Wo Tsurete, Shoushin are jazzy, heady and romantic. |
B+U+M / Spirit Loose / Ai Kawarazuna Bokura B'z shortest songs. Rapping, mumbling, screaming, shrieking even sneezing (haha that was Tak btw), so much creativity crammed into the fewer minutes of these opening/ ending numbers. |
| Raging River
You can feel that river going from calm to wildy raging in an instance and then calm again while a little bit of sun shines in. The lonely outwest atmostphere is so perfectly captured... or am I just too influenced by the lyrics? |
Samayoeru Aoi Dangan It has the most memorable intro and outro. Beginning is slightly oriental while ending feels like an imaginative bullet slowing down, matrix-style! Tak's solo is bloody fantastic. |
Suna No Hanabira I cannot help but love completely everything from beginning to the end. This song is wonderfully irresistable. I never get bored listening to it. This is the one B'z song no B'z fan should ever live without! |
Giri Giri Chop The whole music arrangement is fast, furious and completely crazy, which fits perfectly with Tak's guitar and Koshi's voice. |
Calling "Hitotsu, hitotsu to~, mado ni akari tomou..." |
Seventh Heaven Funky and fun with a lot of things going on at once. I love the whole song. Interesting to note that Tak plays the bass for this song (and also for Fireball). |
JUICE Rather unpredictable song, plunging deep in and soaring up high at the least expected moments. It's outrageously rocking! |
Kienai Niji It could have been just another sweet-but-simple ballad. But after the first half of the song, the key changes unexpectedly, and when you thought it's finished, a nice melodious music begins again to end the whole thing. With a creative twist and heartfelt singing, B'z turned this song into an unforgettable number. |
Tobira The whole song, even the slower part, feels so intense like there's somebody or rather something pounding really hard on the door. Well, that's the whole idea of "Tobira" I suppose. Koshi's amazing ending scream complimented the eerie feel. |
RING That dark, mystical atmosphere as the cello solo takes the stand instead of Tak! The mood gets darker and darker for sure. What an outstandingly beautiful song. |
All B'z songs are very creatively arranged and polished
almost to the point of perfectness. So I just mentioned the ones which
struck me as mind-BLOWIN'. But once again, I'm not an expert, so you can
say that it's just a list of favorites.
