This concert was broadcasted live from Osaka in Sept '06. B'z performed
songs from "MONSTER" and full-English songs like "Real
Thing Shakes", "Brighter Days" and even "HOME"(!)
DVD "Monster Garage" was released in Dec '06, so I certainly
didn't expect this one 14 months later. But even though the setlists are
similar, "Live in Namba" and "Monster Garage" is really
different. Namba Hatch is an intimate settings of up to 1000 people only,
with no fancy gimmicks like in stadium, B'z boasts just pure skills, energy
performing straight hard-rock and amazing connection with the audience.

B'z best buddies Steve Vai, Steve Salas and B'z ninki-drummer Shane Gaalas
were there to cheer for their friends. Apparently Tak and Koshi said their
speeches in full-English. Plus they signed a few things for some of the
Net Party fans that were there too!! Whoohoo!! ^o^

RECORD OF "40TH CONSECUTIVE
SINGLE DEBUTING #1 AT ORICON CHART" FOR B'z!!

With the release of "Super Love Song" on 3rd of October 2007,
B'z officially reached world record of the most consecutive single that
debuted at #1 in Oricon chart. It is the longest number one single streak
in Japan. However if you check Guiness Book World of Record, only Kinki
Kids are featured in there because their 26 consecutive #1 one singles
started at their very first one. Unfortunately B'z did not start debuting
at no.1 until after 1990 with their 5th single "Taiyou no Komachi
Angel". But it doesn't mean that we shouldn't be happy!! Hurray for
B'z!! ^__^ |

surprised to see neither Yokohama Dome or Nagisa-en are included but a
change of venue for the next blockbuster concert DVD is definitely nice!

A full 18 months after "MONSTER", B'z finally will release another
album. 17 songs consisting 14 new songs and 3 from previous singles. That's
why I love B'z albums. They are so worth every penny ^__^ Some songtitles
sound really saucy but that's nothing new with Inaba-sensei's work. Yappari

B'z FIRST ASIAN ARTISTS IN HOLLYWOOD ROCK
WALK
News from Japan-Zone:
Not only are they Japan's biggest-selling artists by far, but B'z are
huge even by world standards. Sales of over 75 million albums and singles
puts them in 7th place in the world, and no one can deny they have earned
the right to become the first Asian artists to be inducted on the Hollywood
Rock Walk.
The announcement today coincides with the 19th anniversary of their
debut release and shortly before the release of their 44th single "Super
Love Song" on October 3. The duo, vocalist Inaba Koshi and guitarist
Matsumoto Takahiro, plan to take part in the induction ceremony on November
19. The only Japanese on the Walk to date are businessmen: Kakehashi
Ikutarou, founder of instrument maker Roland, and Korg founder Kato
Tsutomu.
Established in 1985, the Hollywood
Rock Walk is a collection of handprints, signatures, and memorabilia
from Rock 'n Roll's greatest musical performers and innovators, who
have contributed the most to forge the integrity and promote the growth
of Rock 'n Roll as an art form. Inductees are chosen through secret
ballot by those surviving among the existing 175 honorees, who include
Aerosmith, Black Sabbath, Eric Clapton and Van Halen.
B'z nomination had some help from inductee and friend Steve Vai, with
whom they have performed. The Rock Walk is located on Sunset Boulevard,
in the outer lobby of Hollywood's Guitar Center.
News from Tokyo
Graph :
Sankei Sports reports that rock ban B'z is being inducted into Hollywood's
Rock Walk. Although two Japanese people have been inducted before
(Roland Corporation founder Ikutaro Kakehashi and Korg founder Tsutomu
Kato), B'z will be the first musicians from Asia to receive the honour.
The band was recommended for induction by rocker Steve Vai, with whom
they collaborated for the song "Asian Sky" on Vai's 1999 album
"The Ultra Zone".
B'z will attend the induction ceremony in Hollywood on November 19,
where they will sign and place their their handprints in the cement
plate for the Rock Walk.
This is such a wonderful news. Omedettou, Tak and Koshi!! B'z
fans who live in L.A. or nearby, circle the date 19th of November and
be there, take heaps of pictures please!! I want to hear aaaallll about
it!! Yoroshiku onegaishimasu ^__^

NEW YEAR ACTIVITIES FOR B'z
News of new single "Eien no Tsubasa" has just been
confirmed (see above), but both Tak and Koshi have actually been actively
buzzing, doing their share of B'z, solo works or helping other artists.
Here's a list of what they've been up to since the new year began.
1. B'z first single of 2007 "Eien no Tsubasa" is the
theme song for movie "Ore wa, Kimi no Tame ni Koso Shinni ni Iku"
(official website here).
Tak also composed a song called "The Wings" for its title
image song. The movie is produced and written by Tokyo's mayor Ishihara
Shintaro. Set in the last period of Pacific war, the movie tells stories
about Japanese soldiers' life in Hiroshima. Main actors are Kubosuka Yosuke
and Tsutsui Michitaka. It will open in Japan on 12th May, 2007.
2. 2nd beat of the new single titled "Lonely Stars" is
theme song for animated movie "Hokuto no Ken". The official
website (here)
has a short clip of the song, and the next page (here)
has the instrumental/guitar version. Nice one!!
3. A full English song titled "Friction" is the theme
song of PS2, PSP game called "Burnout Dominator". Another good
one! *____*
4. Koshi has a solo song titled "Akai Ito" which is the
ending theme for anime "Kekkaishi". Furthermore, he also composed
a song titled "Shalala - Ayakashi Night" for Saeka Uura's
2nd single and it will be the opening theme for the same anime. You can
hear Koshi on the backing vocals in the preview on her official site (here).
