Whoa!! Keen-chan, I only got 2:32 of Hakanai Diamond but, I really missed this B'z sound! I love the guitars right away! Wonderful guitars! You're right, Wake Up and Hakanai sound sort of like the Survive beat. Although Wake Up is catchier to me so far! Wake Up catches your ear from the first second.

I like Ihoujin soooo much. I'd like to pick up the single soonies. Yeah M, becoz the songs are cover songs of golden-jpop-oldies. Heard that the real writer/singer plays piano for this. But I'm surprised that Tak didn't arrange it. Some Jpnese fans said the 2nd beat is just as great. Oh, the one with Kuraki Mai and Garnet Crow's vocal will be released in October 7.

Like always, I can't resist temptation. I listened (plus saved) Hakanai Diamond and Wake Up. Goodness me, I should stop playing these three songs non-stop. I think the feeling is similiar to Survive era. Harder songs but still catchy and addictive as hell, esp Wake Up. I believe I heard some satisfying Tak's solos in both songs. And Koshi singing is T_T, I must again ask, is it possible to love them even more?
I find myself madly in love with B'z again everytime new songs come out and rock my world. Btw, as ignorant as I am, I think I sense the goodness of new drum! Such cool drumming in Hakanai!

Yeah, that review about the song itself is way too short. It's review about new B'z. Well, hopefully it will get ppl to listen to B'z.

anyone interested in listening to 儚いダイヤモンド? http://bz-brother.com/ has it, together with tak's 異邦人 ^0^ no wonder this single's ranking went up ^^v the song is very niceee... i dunno about tak's skills in there but i really love listening to his guitar playing in 異邦人 ^^ (to save on the shipping, i combined the order with big machine...that means i gotta wait for 3 more weeks or so T_T ) & i love 儚いダイヤモンド!! i dunno how to say but it's cool!! it rocks!! with some 178 screaming in the background ^.~ can't wait for the album!!!

I went thru some earlier lyrics which were translated straight from Chinese. I must apologize to everyone coz it seems that there are many mistakes in them, especially those from The Mixture albums. I remember thinking that the songs had bara-bara (messy) lyrics, but now I think otherwise. MOVE and Tokyo are especially nice. Better late than never, I guess. Gomen ne, minna.

Sorry - I don't know if there's much of a difference between Thousand Wave & TWPlus. The set list is exactly the same except for the 2 added songs I already mentioned which had been released in '91 - his first single. (The original TW was released in '88;the remix in '96) The album is similar to Dragon & Hana in that it's an instrumental. Don't know if he made any changes. I just love listening to his guitar.
Dave, you're a great critic & I'm going to pay more attention to each instrument from now on. BTW I loved the line about the Tabasco sauce!! ROTHERHOOD is pure genius......

Dave, I know just what you mean about Kaichi's playing. I haven't really payed attention to drums in general until recently, and now I know why Kaichi kind of got on my nerves. yes, too much crash! almost makes my ears ring if I listen to it too closely, but there's plently to divert me from it.

I think Tak has the most distinct riffs on Brotherhood. he usually uses a similar riff (like in the chorus of Brotherhood), but most parts are really unique. when has he written anything close to Giri Giri Chop, Skin, or Shine? or any of the other songs for that matter. yeah, the US doesn't get mainstream albums like that anymore.

I normally have to fumble over my words and what I want to say, but after listening to Brotherhood for over 4 years now, it gets incedibly easy to reate, critique, and bash Kaichi ^_~

I need to go into detail with Kaichi though...I'm sure he's a nice guy...but when all you do is ride the crash and all the other cymbals, and DON'T make use of all of the other drums (say a tom or something novel like that!), it gets sorely repetitive and quite annoying.

As I said though, Brotherhood is the best B'z album, hands down, hand up, hands all around with Tabasco sauce...IMHO The riffs, the arrangemnt, the solos, both Tak and Billy, the singing is just incredible on this album! Brotherhood should be ensconced in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to show American artists how to make a GOOD album...Lord knows they need it...the last decent album released in this country was over a decade ago, before the Nirvana "revolution" (what a joke!)

As for this site...Keen...you continue to amaze me...I really don't know what else to say, but only a lady of your distinct and noble caliber could make something so streamlined and so graphically simple, and yet so clean and beautiful. PLEASE go back to work as a designer...Australia and the world NEEDS you!!!!

I've been looking for an old album of Matsumoto-san's: either Thousand Wave or Wanna Go Home. Just a few days ago I found Thousand Wave Plus!! It's the remix of Thousand Wave with two singles, Love Story & Love ya. It's so good!
Tamashii-chan: A while back you asked if anyone had any ideas of other albums of his. I recommend this one but it might be hard to find. It's worth hunting for though!

Keen, I know you're probably busy with all sorts of other site details...but I recommend changing the intro music to the site. having the ballad as the first thing kind of kills the B'z energy, at least for me. I'd rather have a hard rockin tune to get my attention if I was visiting a site for the first time. but don't worry about it too much, as I'd rather everything else be in proper working condition first.

I also think that Tak and Koshi should try other poses. It's Showtime cover was gorgeous though, I thought the pics in the single are so glamorous.
As for PV, I remember B-chan said B'z pvs are always Koshi singing and running away from camera lol while Tak plays guitar somewhere. I think B'z should make cool crushing pvs like Glay's or Ayu's (hehehe M ^^). The nicest pvs they came up with were Konya~, RING, 7th Heaven and Calling. Oh and Yasei... =p

oh tamashii, i think you should try www.jamall.com. It's where b2 gets his tabs, and I've almost bought something from them before ~ they seem pretty reliable and carry a lot of these types of books.

i admit i've also seen that b'z pose before! the ultra soul one is like the reverse, with mat-chan in front and koko in back...but like in this new one, mat-chan is not looking at the camera while 178 is looking straight into it lol. but i still love it anyway!
