Yahoo News summary: After Fuji-tv new dorama was aired the first time on Tuesday night and ending theme song began, there's a piano intro, in between falsetto was shout-style vocal, who might it be? There's no explanation on the end-roll. So not only phones in Fuji TV continued to ring until the 2nd day, they also received more than 200 e-mails asking about this. Of course it was Koshi Inaba's vocal and the song is one of the songs which will appear in Tak's new solo album, due for release on Nov 26. There will be about 12-14 songs (not confirmed yet) sung by shockingly HUGE-name vocalists.

"Imitation Gold" is still #1 on Oricon and "Ihoujin" is at #16 (after 2 months!). I'm glad Tak's cover project is doing really good. I listened to "Imitation~" a few times. First I thought Mai's vocal is too soft, but now I think it's ok. Ooh, and I have come to really really like 2nd beat of "Ihoujin" too! I think it sounds like something coming out of HANA album. LOVELY! I've decided to include it into my "B'z LULLABY CD" kekeke. So far I've got some of HANA, "Shizuka Na Ame" and "It's Raining" . Any other suggestion? =p

YAY, Raging is minor! For me it's very simple. Sad = minor, happy = major! That's what Tak-sensei taught me LOL. But look at what Koshi-sensei taught me! The whole lyrics translation book! hehe \/(^0^)\/

you're half right, keen! Raging River is in Ab minor, since the guitars are tuned down a half-step.

OK, I declare that Mabushii Sign is my ultimate happy song! Nice flow, cute guitar sound and darn good solo. When I listen to this, I don't dance, I sway lol, you know, the gestures fangrills do in concerts.

WcB, I shall answer BOTH of your questions (WOW!)
1) "178" is ichi-nana-hachi, take the i-na-ha/ba to make "inaba" there you go. And just to make it even more interesting, there are also "54" Go-Shi and "3" San... So you can gather them into 178-543 = Inaba Koshi san. FUN, right!
Too bad poor Tak don't have a single number to his name.
2) Minor! Hehehe *avoids kick*. Tak-boys can answer that for sure.

I still have to listen to Imitation Gold. Heard it's oh-so-fine too =p

LOL, B, sonna ni Matsumoto-san mitai no (cough) O-shiri wo hoshii no? kakakkaa... He does have lovely shaped buns, even more so than Koko.

Couple of dumb (and random) questions about B'z:

1) Why do some people call Koshi "178"?

2) Does anyone know what key "Raging River" is written in?

Rock man, maybe they make it cheaper for a double coz I plan on having my backside (i.e. oshiri) modelled after a mold of Tak's that I secretly made during livegym.

The tattoos hmm..well I do love the dragon but the arm stuff is not much my favourite I have to say. Etto, doen't he include his name on the armtattoo ?
Sorry I don't have any good pics I know of. Just the bellybutton one from M's site hehehehe

Wow, I think not only Arakure is the theme song. There's one song by Koshi called "Katen ni Shagare", a cover of a legendary-popper called Jyuri-. It will be included in that Tak's cover album. I don't know who Jyuri- is -__-;;

*minutes later*
Jyuri- or Julie is a band of three guys (including Sawada Kenji) who debuted in 1967, gone through up and down in these few decades and started to give concerts again in 2001. Wow, 35 years and still goin, talk about motivation for B'z lol. Anyway, Tak featuring Koshi's song is their 2nd single which came out in 1977.

C'mon Rokuman, I know you got the process nailed since years ago. After all the encouragement from the girls, you should really go ahead and do it! Your life will change dramatically, hehehe.

All joking aside, I think Koshi's tattoos are the coolest things to have. I don't mind the little dragon on the finger, but the arms' one would be too much for me, I think. Mahatma, I will try to look for some detailed tattoo pics. I don't know if there's any very clear ones ne. Maybe the others can help too! Welcome and please post more btw =p

B2: rofl! Man, I miss hypothetical Tak. But I completely agree. Arakure does NOT sound like a match for this creepy dorama!

tamashii: they edited the ABR on tv to fit into the time schedule. and that tak album sounds very interesting! i'd much rather get that than collect imitation gold and ihoujin separately. plus i saw the b-sides are included too. i'm sure it will do well!

that show looks pretty interesting, but why Arakure for the theme song??? it's upbeat and rather happy, unlike the show which does sound creepy. Tak just couldn't leave it at them using his name in the show; "an I ah wahnt my good song innna show too!"

wow that's cool! showing aBR!!! are they showing the whole video? i hope the tv station here does the same too... catching a b'z pv on tv is already so difficult >.<

hey i wanna watch that drama too, after reading the plot ;p yusuke santamaria? is he the younger host of the greatest live big artist program?

oh yes, there'll be a tak solo project album releasing soon... november 26... other than the 4 songs from his current solo project singles, there's a song sung by 178!! yes! TAK MATSUMOTO featuring koshi inaba!! wonder how it'll turn out ;p

Ok, they're showing A Beautiful Reel. Luckily this means I don't have to tape it! But darn, even watching it with fuzzy reception is getting me all excited. I haven't watched this in a while! *rational side says to go to bed and watch the dvd tomorrow* Hey! Why is some fan daring to wear a Beckham shirt to LiveGym??

I can't believe this wasn't promoted more heavily. This is like the first time they've ever shown a Japanese concert on the Asian channel, and ABR might have hooked in a lot of casual fans here. Hopefully all the people who normally tune in for Heyx3 will stay to watch this stunning goodness. *gets all proud of B'z as they rise out of the stage for Stay Green*

Wow, the Fuji-tv dorama with "Arakure" as main theme song sounds promising. Yay! I wanna watch it, not only becoz of B'z but also coz it stars Yusuke Santamaria, my fave actor! He's a big B'z fan too, remember how he fangrilled intensely on tv? lol but I doubt that he'd be funny in this creepy dorama though.

Daveeeee, I'm so glad you like BM too! I had my doubts whether or not us, B'z fans are too subjective in the case of liking a B'z album. I thought how impossible that anything they come up with just sound so good to my ears. I really love this album!
Oh and thank you for writing a great review on GREEN! Everyone, check it out pls! =p I definitely look forward on the BM one. Hehehe, I can't find a decent interview with B'z on BM, so I *forcibly-beg* Dave to do a review instead =p He didn't have a chance to say NO. Plus we will soon have M's review too, YAY!

I love those captions on Birry's pics too. He really did take a long time to put up photos ne! More than a year, lol. But I guess worth the wait. Birry enjoyed the tour a lot I supposed. Maybe the next time we see Birry join the tour again is when B'z come up with a harder album yeah. Take your time, B'z!! I'd wait for 2 years for an album like Brotherhood, of course while still releasing singles and solos to make it bearable ^___^

Well guys...I think we have another hit here...

Keen-cha.....ARIGATOU GOZAIMASHITA BOKU NO TOMODACHI! You made my week by sending a pre-copy! I have listened to the CD 6 times every track all the way through. I am really VERY impressed.

Big Machine seems to have the best of the past 3 albums...at least in borrowing. Brotherhood is still a better album(IMHO), but this one ranks VERY high. Tak and Kohshi have managed to keep the pop angle, while infusing enough of Tak's Eventide trickery on some parts, as well as the nice chunky chords to keep it interesting. Tak and Kohshi are EN FUEGO, and THANK YOU for getting a DECENT drummer! Shane Galaas was the lynch-pin for the sound of this album. I hope he stays with them a little longer, maybe get more rock than this one into it.

I plan on writing a nice review on this one...maybe a little more thorough than my previous efforts...I now have the pleasure of being able to connect the music to the lyrics...thanks to our esteemed webmistress and all around great gal...Keen! I am really impressed with the quality of the words and some of the messages that Kohshi is expressing this time around.

Look for the review in a few weeks here...

I really love Koshi's performance in BIG. To compare, I like his singing voice in Shizuka Na Ame more than in Akatsuki and some of SHIAN, especially TOUCH (it gets rather piercing sometimes) *runs away from fangrils*. Some songs in BIG are of high-keys, yet he sounds so fit. Like Wake Up~, I was humming along it and realized that I can't hit the notes in chorus with normal voice. His range is incredible.
Aaaaah Big Machine, I really love the way he sings these two lines =p
2nd chorus: Tamaran yaji mo uketsukeyou (follow it with a yeah!)
Last chorus: Nakitai, zasetsu mo bane ni~~~NI (hiking it up here)

K-3, I know what you mean with the last 30 sec of Hakanai~!! My heart feels like bursting, waiting for him to sing: MOU dare mo inakunari~ The music critics are right, Koshi has got a voice that excites people.
Oh and I just looove the intro of Ai to Nikushimi~, the first sound of guitar is CHOOOO kakkoii.

OMG (and rarely use this expression) I am a nanana maniac ! Your posts have just revealed to me that it might be the reason why Hadashi~ is my fave song -- and easy come easy go just ranks below that.
Hey come on, it's not unmanly !!!
I could listen to the end of hadashi no megami for hours, days..and it's so hypnotizing to hum along at the live, and hear all the other thousands do the same.
Okay I just broke my resolution of not ranting about B'z live anymore..gomen..can't help it..nananananana...

keen-chan! arigatou! for all those translations! & the background of big machine :) i've always wanted to figure out what 178 sings in the background ^_^

well, i gave big machine the song a 4.5 at np... now i love it so muchhhhh! & arakure!! the ending! the last note caught me by surprise when i 1st listened to it...kawaii! not only the "nana" will 'lam' the fans, those "oh", "ah", "wow~", "aawww" are juz as fantastic! <3 & also the way 178 sings, like the beginning & ending lines of ai to~~ daisuki!

yeah, waiting for your review, m-chan! even if "this is great" appears all over the page ^.~ coz honesty is utsukushii (o^v^o)

M-chan: it's OK to go on and on about BM!! Every time I listen I find something new!
The other day when I was out with my hubby, I started humming ROOTS. He started humming something else. I started humming louder and he laughed! YATA,NE! YAPARI, B'Z NO KACHI!!!!! (Wouldn't you know! B'z would win!!)

...maybe Tak is less manly when Koshi insists on Nanana. But remember Tak is the one who prizes his soft white skin. Hurhur.

Ok, nana is not a manly sound to make, but B2 is right: Koshi sounds so CUTE! *waits for ROCK man to turn green* I think there's some nana in I'm in love? The only other 2 nana songs I can think of are Hadashi no megami (where I love it when fans all sing along live!) and Easy come Easy Go. I remember when I first heard it, I was surprised that someone who dressed in h**p**** would sing that kind of chorus!

So far, Big Machine is reminding me more of the LOOSE style. Not as serious as Brotherhood, not as light as Green (although Green really had more variety than it is given credit for, I think). Thanks for pointing out the ROOTS solo though; so far I've been concentrating on the amazing Hakanai solo.

jeez kindred, you just don't want them to have any fun! how many songs have "nanana" on this album, anyway? I can think of two. I think it fits alright in Wake up since it's one of those light and energetic B'z songs, but I don't exactly remember what the other song is...now, had this sort of stuff shown up in Eleven I would have questioned it. but it doesn't bother me much based on the mood of the rest of Big Machine. I have to agree, though; Tak becomes 50% less manly when Koshi nanas. Koshi, on the other hand, probably attracts more women with his nanas. am I right, ladies?

M, how could you possibly feel shame in gushing about a B'z album that was only just released recently! whatever happened to M "I just loooooove Safety Love!!!" M? oh, wait, I think that was me...

I feel bad for talking about Big Machine when you guys have probably already hashed it all out already...but I am so in love with Bluesy na asa I cannot stop listening to it. I guess with this and Arakure I will never get through the album lol. And Keen, I do think the beat of Arakure is very Shinji kurai from ELEVEN.
I must review this soon, but since I can never find fault with a B'z album...I hope it won't be just "This is great, this is great, and this is also great."

after much doubt, I uploaded the last three songs: Big~, Arakure and Mabushii~. I hope it's ok to translate Arakure as "panic" and Mabushii Sign as "brilliant sign". The translation in Mabushii don't flow nicely, I don't get these two lines so I translated them straight from the Chinese explanation, which still don't connect to the lines before and after them.
"A grown-up's tenderness before cowardice is discovered"
"A grown-up's silence before laziness is discovered"
Gotta be another way to understand/translate this. Btw, I think Big Machine's lyrics are really cute, no? =p

The three songs left to be translated are quite hard, even with the Chinese translation. I'm forever doubting which words are best to use in expressing Ina-sensei's deep and troublesome lyrics keke. But even those rocking songs have good lyrics. Koshi, you're just too brilliant.

OMG INTERNET FINALLY!!! After 2 weeks of COMPLETE B'z deprivation, I was like a maniac when I home (1 hour ago after 23 hours of air travel from Croatia to Paris to Cali nonstop!). I immediately pounced on the Big Machine disc in my brother's car, then freaked out because I can't find the mini towel or the case with the pics anywhere! The next thing I did was sprint to my computer. Oh internet! Now I have thrown Big Machine in the cd player and am trying to catch up on all the msgs but there are SO MANY!

Not to mention that I could not get past the wonderful Arakure. I tried to, but I kept repeating it over and over, hence I am still only on track 8! I love the new It's Showtime!! And man, what is this amazing track 8?? I don't even know the name yet...!! And...track 9!!!! It's the mystery song I fell in love after hearing 3 seconds.
