B'z Tak Matsumoto Fun Facts

Note: This is collection of Tak's words-of-wisdom (or sometimes lack of it) and some scribbles/skecthes that were published for the past 18 or so years by Bewith aka B'z FC Magazines and some other books like the "Ultra Chronicle" etc. In any case, I think this page could sort of give you a peek into Tak Matsumoto's world or perhaps you can just let your imagination run with it =).

"Everyone usually says "We want to hear Inaba talk more", don't they? They say I talk too much!" (laugh)
- On radio promotions (1992)

"There are so many ppl who say to me 'Don't try, you'll never make it!'. I always say 'There's no harm in trying'. That's my opinion."
- On not quitting (1992)

"We watched other DVDs together but only during "JU-ON" that Inaba stayed the shortest time (laugh). I think it was in LA. Our manager brought some DVDs to watch, so after we finished recording for the day, everyone gathered to watch them that night. Afterwards, I went back to my room but my eyes just wouldn't close. I couldn't fall asleep at all" (laugh)

"I think music and love relationship is completely the same. This has always been my personal belief; in music, 50% depends on the maker, but another 50% depends on the listener. So only when they are satisfied, then we can get 100% satisfaction. Love is like that too. Must be fifty-fifty. Although when we were young, we usually pursued someone who's our 100%, right?"

"There's something in composing a song that is like a stocked/shelved thing, any kind of person has a potential to create a famous song. But with musical instruments, you can't suddenly have a pro-level's skill without practising it. What you can or you can't do is very clear.
